Industrikollegiet.dk

The website for industrikollegiet is well visited by both present and potentital residents. However, before 2012 when I took over as webmaster of the site it was difficult to find even the most basic practical informations for both target groups. Throughout the years the site had accumulated loads of irrelevant information hidden on more and more subpages. Consequently I decided to give the site a complete reconstruction enforcing a simple and usable information architecture.

One of the most useful changes was collecting all practical information of concern to the current residents on a single page in alphabetical order. This way members of the residents’ council could consistently refer to this page when the residents had questions that could be answered systematically. This way no one had to click their way through an incomprehensible maze of subpages but could instead get a quick overview simply by scrolling through the information.

As part of the reconstruction a bunch of photos I had taken of the place was also incorporated to give potential residents a better idea of what it would be like to live at the kollegium.
